In addition to injecting tens of millions of dollars directly into the economy of northern Albania, Tirex Resources has become an integral part of the community it operates within.

created employment for more than 40 Albanian workers in a region plagued by high levels of chronic unemployment
trained Albanian employees on modern exploration equipment and techniques
improved road conditions throughout the Mirdita District, increasing mobility for people living in the area
Provided a minibus/taxi that drives people from the main city to the local village located in a remote area, close to our camp, where there is no public transportation available. Instead of walking for 3 hours (15km), they now jump on the minibus and can be home in 30 minutes.
Provided transportation for our employees, to and from work, on a schedule, using the same bus mentioned above.
fought multiple forest fires in the region on a voluntary basis
supported local accident and emergency response efforts through the construction of a heli-pad
equipped the camp with a Canadian-standard first aid facility and firefighting equipment
developed a camp sourcing protocol to support local growers of livestock, vegetables and honey
actively supported multiple charitable organizations as well as donated in cases of national misfortunes such as the Gerdeci accident and Shkodra floodings.
purchased lumber from a local mill in the district for the purposes of camp construction and employed local carpenters and trades people for projects in the company's camp facility

been actively involved in the Foreign Investors Association of Albania where Prof. Dr. Perparim Alikaj is the Chairman of the sub-committee of Minerals and Oil and Gas.
Sponsored various technical conferences and exhibitions in Albania and has sponsored the participation of Albanian geophysicists in symposiums abroad.

Tirex was the first mover in terms of bringing large scale, modern exploration to northern Albania. In doing so, the company has spent substantial capital and resources.
