| | | July 13, 2009 Tirex Intersects 46m (151ft) of Copper, Zinc, Gold, and Silver Mineralization at Letitna
|
| | Hello Everybody,
Prior to Tirex's arrival at Mirdita, nothing at all was known about gold and silver mineralization in the Letitna area.
Today, the attached assays indicate that the gold and silver potential at Letitna is extremely significant.
Within the very wide 46m (151 ft) true width intersection of excellent grades, I draw your attention to the following intercepts;
- 11.1m (36.4 ft) grading 2.18% Copper, 3.80% Zinc, 38.0 g/t Silver and 4.0 g/t Gold
- including 8.1m (26.5 ft) grading 2.59% Copper, 4.70% Zinc, 39.7 g/t Silver and 5.1 g/t Gold
- including 2.0m (6.6 ft) grading 2.54% Copper, 6.74% Zinc, 18.3 g/t Silver and 14.1 g/t Gold
For further indication of this system's ability to generate high grade golds in addition to the excellent base metal numbers, note the 16.8 g/t Gold over 1.0m within the News Release table.
As a gold and silver hole alone, these are excellent assay numbers, so I encourage you not to overlook the excellent base metal numbers also contained within this News Release.
Key points on today's News Release;
- for a VMS system, these are unusually high grades of gold and silver
- prior to Tirex's arrival at Mirdita, nothing was known of the gold and silver potential at Letitna
- a very wide 46m (151 ft) zone was intersected on this hole (true width)
- the wide zone is wide open for expansion in every direction and the story of very significant size being targeted continues to build
- further assays are now pending
I look forward to further updating you as we intensify work at Letitna.
Regards,
Bryan Slusarchuk, CEO
